Onix was sold to Maria Goodman as a puppy and was unfortunately one of the dogs who Maria abused and abandoned in her kennel along with many other dogs. Thankfully he survived and was rescued from the horendous situation. He was deemed healthy enough to fly and was flown back to Canada but he was very thin and in quite poor condition with multiple rat bites and a bad case of mange. Thankfully he still maintained his rock solid temperment but did have some neurosis because of life as an abandoned kennel dog. He is now loved by Andrea Myers who has helped him overcome his horrible start to life.
